Orin Voorheis was serving a mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1997 when he was robbed and shot in the head. After being shot, the robbers fled and his companion gave him a blessing. Miraculously, Orin survived, but has significant disabilities. He understands everything people say around him and has a great sense of humor and a tremendous faith in God; however, he has severe physical disabilities and is unable to speak. He lives in Pleasant Grove and local stakes provide support during therapy sessions. During each session, a professional aide is present. You can help with physical therapy, or you can tell stories about you and your family. Children are welcome to come and share stories or show him pictures. Please sign up for a spot to help Orin.
